DENYING THE CROSS OF CHRIST MAKES MUSLIMS AND UNBELIEVERS HELL CANDIDATES.

DID  JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS

John 19:17-20 New King James Version (NKJV)

The King on a Cross
17 And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, 18 where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center. 19 Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was:
JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
20 Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, andLatin.

And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah ." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.---QURAN 4:157

IF YOU DENY THE CROSS OF CHRIST YOU HAVE DENY HE IS LORD,SAVIOUR,AND THAT HE IS THE SON OF GOD AND HE IS SON OF MAN.BECAUSE THE CROSS PROVED THAT HE IS.
THE CROSS PROVED THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF MAN.
JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD THAT CAME IN HUMAN FORM AND THE WORD IS GOD. SO THAT WHILE ON THE CROSS HE CRIED OUT MY GOD MY GOD WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN.
“And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46, KJV). This cry is a fulfillment of Psalm 22:1, one of many parallels between that psalm and the specific events of the crucifixion. It is difficult to understand in what sense Jesus was “forsaken” by God. It is certain that God approved His work. It is certain that Jesus was innocent. He had done nothing to forfeit the favor of God. As God’s own Son—holy, harmless, undefiled, and obedient—God still loved Him. In none of these senses could God have forsaken Him.

The prophet Isaiah says this about the Messiah: “Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4–5). Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). He was made a sin-offering, and He died in our place, on our account, that He might bring us near to God. It was this, doubtless, that intensified His sufferings and part of why Jesus said, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” It was the manifestation of God’s hatred of sin, in some unexplained way, that Jesus experienced in that terrible hour. The suffering He endured was due to us, and it is that suffering by which we can be saved from eternal death.

In those awful moments, as evil men were allowed to do whatever they wanted to Jesus, our Lord expressed His feelings of abandonment. God placed the sins of the world on His Son, and Jesus for a time felt the desolation of being unconscious of His Father’s presence. It was at this time that “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

There is another possible reason for Jesus to cry out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” It could be that Jesus’ intent in quoting Psalm 22:1 was to point His hearers to that psalm. When they read Psalm 22, they would no doubt see the many fulfilled prophecies included in that song of David. Even while experiencing the agony of the cross, Jesus was teaching the crowds and proving yet again that He was the Messiah who fulfilled the Scriptures.
NOTE:JESUS WAS DYING FOR US. SINNERS WILL ALSO CRY LIKE THIS IN HELL.

HE ALSO CRIED THAT I THIRST . SEE MORE ABOUT IT HERE
THE PEOPLE THAT WILL EVENTUALLY GO TO HELL WILL ALSO SHOUT I NEED A DROP OF WATER LIKE THE STORY OF RICH MAN AND LAZAROUS SEE THE EXPLANATION HERE.
THE CROSS ALSO PROVED THAT JESUS IS LORD AND GOD AND SAVIOUR
WHILE JESUS WAS GOING THROUGH THIS SUFFERINGS A MAN THAT WAS  ON THE CROSS BY HIS SIDE STILL CALLED JESUS LORD. HOW DID BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS GOD DESPITE THAT THEY WERE BOTH PUT TO SHAME.

Luke 23:40-43 King James Version (KJV)

40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
THE OTHER MAN MUST HAVE BEEN A MUSLIM AS HE DID NOT EVEN CALL ON JESUS AFTER JESUS HAD PROMISED HIS PARTNER HEAVEN. HE MUST HAVE BELIEVED THAT JESUS WAS LYING. YET GOD PROVED JESUS WAS TRUTHFUL AS HE ASCENDED TO HEAVEN PSALMS 24 AND 110.
EVEN WHEN JESUS APPEARED TO HIS DISCIPLE ,THOMAS DOUBTED BUT HE latter BELIEVED and declared Jesus my Lord and my God JOHN 20:28. But Jesus did not deny it verse 29.HE WAS THERE WHEN JESUS DECLARED HIMSELF AS RESSURECTION AND LIFE JOHN 11:25. NOW HE KNOWS AND BELIEVES.
THE MAN THAT CALLED JESUS LORD AND SAID LORD REMEMBER ME WHEN THOU COMEST INTO THY KINGDOM HAD DONE IT THROUGH THE SPIRIT OF GOD 1CORINTHIANS 12:3. JESUS SAID TO BAPTISE IN THE MATTHEW 28:19. THE FATHER LOVES US AND GAVE US JESUS JOHN 3:16. JESUS DIED FOR US. AND THE HOLY SPIRIT CONVICTS JOHN (16:9) US AND LEAD US TO SALVATION OF GOD.
THE CROSS ALSO PROVED THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD (SON OF GOD MEANS CO-EQUAL WITH GOD JOHN 10).
WHEN JESUS WAS CARRYING OUR SINS HE WAS SAYING MY GOD MY GOD WHILE HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME.BUT WHEN HE HAD FINISHED THE WORK HE COMMITED HIS LIFE TO THE FATHER SAYING:

Luke 23:46 King James Version (KJV)

46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
YET EVERYTHING WAS DONE ACCORDING TO HOW IT HAS BEEN WRITTEN  LUKE 24:46-47.
IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVED THAT JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS, YOU HAVE DENIED HIS DEITY. AND YOU HAVE DENIED THE HOLY TRINITY. YOU HAVE ALSO SAID HE IS NOT THE SON OF GOD. YOU EVEN DENIED THAT HE CAME AS A MAN BECAUSE THE PROPHECY THAT GOD GAVE THAT THE SEED OF THE WOMAN(JESUS SON OF MARY) WILL BRUISE THE HEAD OF THE SERPENT BUT THE SERPENT WILL PIERCE HIS HEEL GENESIS 3:15. YET JESUS HEBREW 2:14 DESTROYED THE DEVIL. EVEN ISAIAH SAID THAT BY HIS STIPES WE ARE HEALED ISAIAH 53. HE ALSO SAID THAT  A SON GIVEN WILL BE CALLED GOD ISAIAH 9:6 AND THIS MANIFESTED ON THE CROSS(ON THE CROSS JESUS DENIED MARY JOHN 19:26 MARY WAS JUST AN INSTRUMENT JUST AS THE NAIL THAT WAS USED TO BRING BLOOD FROM JESUS BODY. NONE OF THE IMAGES OF NAIL OR MARY SHOULD BE MADE AND BOWED TO LEVITICUS 26:1.). JESUS ALSO DECLARED THE PROPHECY THAT MOSES GAVE WHEN HE SAID THAT JOHN 3:14.
THE DISCIPLES OF JESUS CHRIST ALSO DIED TERRIBLE DEATH FOR THE GOSPLE . EVEN PETER PREACHED ABOUT JESUS AND HIS RESSURECTION IN ACTS 2 CROSS CHECK PSALMS 110:1-2;16:10.
I CORINTHIAN 15:1-5
15 Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas,[b] and then to the Twelve.
THE DEATH OF THE APOSTLES
JAMES WAS KILLED ACTS 12:1
Jesus’ death on the cross, as described in the New Testament, has become one of the most famous events. But what happened to the 12 disciples who were his closest followers? Not as much information has survived about their fates, but here is what’s available from various sources, including the New Testament itself, apocryphal texts, early Christian historians, legends and lore.

Simon, AKA Peter: Simon-Peter, who was appointed by Jesus the leader of the new sect, is viewed by Roman Catholics as the first pope, was eventually martyred in Rome during the reign of the emperor Nero. As the story goes, Peter asked to be crucified upside down, so that his death would not be the equal of Jesus and the Romans supposedly obliged.
Andrew: According to 15th Century religious historian Dorman Newman, Andrew—the brother of Peter—went to Patras in western Greece in 69 AD, where the Roman proconsul Aegeates debated religion with him. Aegeates tried to convince Andrew to forsake Christianity, so that he would not have to torture and execute him. But when that didn’t work, apparently he decided to give Andrew the full treatment. Andrew was scourged, and then tied rather than nailed to a cross, so that he would suffer for a longer time before dying. Andrew lived for two days, during which he preached to passersby.
James (son of Zebedee, AKA James the Greater): Acts 12:1-19 says that James was killed with a sword. The newly-appointed governor of Judea, Herod Agrippa, decided to ingratiate himself with the Romans by persecuting leaders of the new sect. After James was arrested and led to place of execution, his unnamed accuser was moved by his courage. He not only repented and converted on the spot, but asked to be executed alongside James. The Roman executioners obliged, and both men were beheaded simultaneously.
John: John was the only one of the original disciples not to die a violent death. Instead, he passed away peacefully in Patmos in his old age, sometime around 100 AD.
Philip: Philip, the first of Jesus’ disciples, became a missionary in Asia. Eventually, he traveled to the Egyptian city of Heliopolis, where he was scourged, thrown into prison, and crucified in 54 AD.
Bartholomew: Bartholomew supposedly preached in several countries, including India, where he translated the Gospel of Matthew for believers. In one account, “impatient idolaters” beat Bartholomew and then crucified him, while in another, he was skinned alive and then beheaded.
Thomas: Apparently Thomas preached the gospel in Greece and India, where he angered local religious authorities, who martyred him by running him through with a spear.
Matthew: According to legend, the former tax collector turned missionary was martyred in Ethiopia, where he was supposedly stabbed in the back by an swordsman sent by King Hertacus, after he criticized the king’s morals.
James (son of Alphaeus, AKA James the Less): According to Foxe, James, who was elected by his fellow believers to head the churches of Jerusalem, was one of the longest-lived apostles, perhaps exceeded only by John. At the age of 94, he was beaten and stoned by persecutors, and then killed him by hitting him in the head with a club.
Thaddaeus, AKA Lebbaeus, Judas or Jude: According to several stories, he was crucified at Edessa (the name of cities in both Turkey and Greece) in 72 AD.

Simon the Canaanite AKA the Zealot: Simon preached in Mauritania on the west coast of Africa, and then went to England, where he was crucified in 74 AD.
HISTORICAL EVIDENCE OF JESUS CRUCIFIXION.
Tacitus’s last major work, titled Annals, written c. 116–117 C.E., includes a biography of Nero. In 64 C.E., during a fire in Rome, Nero was suspected of secretly ordering the burning of a part of town where he wanted to carry out a building project, so he tried to shift the blame to Christians. This was the occasion for Tacitus to mention Christians, whom he despised. This is what he wrote—the following excerpt is translated from Latin by Robert Van Voorst:

TACIT CONFIRMATION. Roman historian Tacitus’s last major work, Annals, mentions a “Christus” who was executed by Pontius Pilate and from whom the Christians derived their name. Tacitus’s brief reference corroborates historical details of Jesus’ death from the New Testament. The pictured volume of Tacitus’s works is from the turn of the 17th century. The volume’s title page features Plantin Press’s printing mark depicting angels, a compass and the motto Labore et Constantia (“By Labor and Constancy”). Photo: Tacitus,Opera Quae Exstant, trans. by Justus Lipsius (Antwerp, Belgium: Ex officina Plantiniana, apud Joannem Moretum, 1600). [N]either human effort nor the emperor’s generosity nor the placating of the gods ended the scandalous belief that the fire had been ordered [by Nero]. Therefore, to put down the rumor, Nero substituted as culprits and punished in the most unusual ways those hated for their shameful acts … whom the crowd called “Chrestians.” The founder of this name, Christ [Christus in Latin], had been executed in the reign of Tiberius by the procurator Pontius Pilate … Suppressed for a time, the deadly superstition erupted again not only in Judea, the origin of this evil, but also in the city [Rome], where all things horrible and shameful from everywhere come together and become popular.5
Tacitus’s terse statement about “Christus” clearly corroborates the New Testament on certain historical details of Jesus’ death. Tacitus presents four pieces of accurate knowledge about Jesus: (1) Christus, used by Tacitus to refer to Jesus, was one distinctive way by which some referred to him, even though Tacitus mistakenly took it for a personal name rather than an epithet or title; (2) this Christus was associated with the beginning of the movement of Christians, whose name originated from his; (3) he was executed by the Roman governor of Judea; and (4) the time of his death was during Pontius Pilate’s governorship of Judea, during the reign of Tiberius. (Many New Testament scholars date Jesus’ death to c. 29 C.E.; Pilate governed Judea in 26–36 C.E., while Tiberius was emperor 14–37 C.E.6)
Tacitus, like classical authors in general, does not reveal the source(s) he used. But this should not detract from our confidence in Tacitus’s assertions. Scholars generally disagree about what his sources were. Tacitus was certainly among Rome’s best historians—arguably the best of all—at the top of his game as a historian and never given to careless writing.
Earlier in his career, when Tacitus was Proconsul of Asia,7 he likely supervised trials, questioned people accused of being Christians and judged and punished those whom he found guilty, as his friend Pliny the Younger had done when he too was a provincial governor. Thus Tacitus stood a very good chance of becoming aware of information that he characteristically would have wanted to verify before accepting it as true.8

The other strong evidence that speaks directly about Jesus as a real person comes from Josephus, a Jewish priest who grew up as an aristocrat in first-century Palestine and ended up living in Rome, supported by the patronage of three successive emperors. In the early days of the first Jewish Revolt against Rome (66–70 C.E.), Josephus was a commander in Galilee but soon surrendered and became a prisoner of war. He then prophesied that his conqueror, the Roman commander Vespasian, would become emperor, and when this actually happened, Vespasian freed him. “From then on Josephus lived in Rome under the protection of the Flavians and there composed his historical and apologetic writings” (Gerd Theissen and Annette Merz).9 He even took the name Flavius, after the family name of his patron, the emperor Vespasian, and set it before his birth name, becoming, in true Roman style, Flavius Josephus. Most Jews viewed him as a despicable traitor. It was by command of Vespasian’s son Titus that a Roman army in 70 C.E. destroyed Jerusalem and burned the Temple, stealing its contents as spoils of war, which are partly portrayed in the imagery of their gloating triumph on the Arch of Titus in Rome.10 After Titus succeeded his father as emperor, Josephus accepted the son’s imperial patronage, as he did of Titus’s brother and successor, Domitian.
Yet in his own mind, Josephus remained a Jew both in his outlook and in his writings that extol Judaism. At the same time, by aligning himself with Roman emperors who were at that time the worst enemies of the Jewish people, he chose to ignore Jewish popular opinion.
Josephus stood in a unique position as a Jew who was secure in Roman imperial patronage and protection, eager to express pride in his Jewish heritage and yet personally independent of the Jewish community at large. Thus, in introducing Romans to Judaism, he felt free to write historical views for Roman consumption that were strongly at variance with rabbinic views.
bern-josephus
Jewish historian Josephus is pictured in the ninth-century medieval manuscript Burgerbibliothek Bern Codexunder the Greek caption “Josippos Historiographer.” Photo:Burgerbibliothek Bern Cod. 50, f.2r.
In his two great works, The Jewish War and Jewish Antiquities, both written in Greek for educated people, Josephus tried to appeal to aristocrats in the Roman world, presenting Judaism as a religion to be admired for its moral and philosophical depth. The Jewish Wardoesn’t mention Jesus except in some versions in likely later additions by others, but Jewish Antiquities does mention Jesus—twice.
The shorter of these two references to Jesus (in Book 20)11 is incidental to identifying Jesus’ brother James,12the leader of the church in Jerusalem. In the temporary absence of a Roman governor between Festus’s death and governor Albinus’s arrival in 62 C.E., the high priest Ananus instigated James’s execution. Josephus described it:
Being therefore this kind of person [i.e., a heartless Sadducee], Ananus, thinking that he had a favorable opportunity because Festus had died and Albinus was still on his way, called a meeting [literally, “sanhedrin”] of judges and brought into it the brother of Jesus-who-is-called-Messiah … James by name, and some others. He made the accusation that they had transgressed the law, and he handed them over to be stoned.13
James is otherwise a barely noticed, minor figure in Josephus’s lengthy tome. The sole reason for referring to James at all was that his death resulted in Ananus losing his position as high priest. James (Jacob) was a common Jewish name at this time. Many men named James are mentioned in Josephus’s works, so Josephus needed to specify which one he meant. The common custom of simply giving the father’s name (James, son of Joseph) would not work here, because James’s father’s name was also very common. Therefore Josephus identified this James by reference to his famous brother Jesus. But James’s brother Jesus (Yehoshua) also had a very common name. Josephus mentions at least 12 other men named Jesus.14 Therefore Josephus specified which Jesus he was referring to by adding the phrase “who is called Messiah,” or, since he was writing in Greek, Christos.15This phrase was necessary to identify clearly first Jesus and, via Jesus, James, the subject of the discussion. This extraneous reference to Jesus would have made no sense if Jesus had not been a real person.SEE MORE HERE

MOHAMMAD IN HELL --TESTIMONY 1

“I Saw the One Called “Mohammed” in Hell, as He Was Burning in a Pit of Lava”  BY CAMERON TYLER

I saw in a vision, the founder of the demonic religion of Islam in hell. I saw the one called “Mohammed” in hell, as he was burning in a pit of lava.
A demonic spirit walked over to him as he was burning, and then violently dragged him out of the lava by the top of his head. He fell to the dry, cracked ground in front of me. His skin was charred black with a very hard and flaky texture. Most of his face was fire eaten. The demon then grabbed his head again and began to crush it, as the man groaned in pain.
I wondered, “Who is this man?”
Then I heard the demon say, “This is “Mohammad.”
I was shocked. I never expected the Lord would show someone very famous like him to me. I looked into the man’s eyes and saw much fear and desparation to leave, although he will never leave.
Then the man said, “I have no rest. I made my followers to worship a demon. Allah is a demon. Jesus is God. Tell my followers to stop. They are following the way of death. I murdered for a demon. Tell them they are following the way to death. I can never leave here.”
Then I saw the Lord Jesus appear, emanating with such brilliant and beautiful white light that it is hard to describe. He then told me it was time for me to go back. Then the vision ended.

GADDAFI IN HELL BY LINDA NGUAJA (GOOGLE THE TITLE)
Muammar Gaddafi In Hell

And Jesus pulled out a man from the fire and he introduced himself to me. He said, “I am Gaddafi” (because you won’t recognize him because the fire has destroyed him. He said, “I am Gaddafi, former Libyan president.”

Gaddafi said, “Tell my Libyan people to worship Jesus.” He said, “Tell my people to believe in Jesus.” He said, “Ah Jesus, have mercy, I never knew you are the right way, have mercy on me.” He said, even the people who killed him on earth, he doesn’t want them to come to hell. He said, “Tell my people to believe that Jesus is the right way.”

He also gave me another message (why he gave me this message is because, he said, the entire mosques he built on earth should be destroyed and turned into churches so that people will glorify Jesus and maybe the punishment on him in hell will decrease). Because anything here on earth that you build that does not glorify Jesus Christ, that does not glorify God, that does not make people to come to their right Father (hotels, bars, etc.), anything sinful in the world that you build (when you die, you leave these things on earth). People will be there doing all sorts of evil things, as far as people are enjoying these places, or practicing all sorts of evil things, in the place that doesn’t glorify Jesus Christ, the demons will increase the pain on you in hell.

So he said, “Please so that the pain will decrease, I know if people will worship in my mosque, if they will call Jesus there, maybe the pain will decrease.” And Jesus said, “It is too late.”
WHY ARE ALL THIS PEOPLE IN HELL ? . IT IS BECAUSE OF LIES.
EVEN DAVID SAID THEY PIERCED MY HANDS AND MY FEET PSALMS 22:16. YET THIS REFER TO HOW JESUS WOULD BE CRUCIFIED JOHN 19:17-21. IF YOU SAY THAT ALL MEN MUST DIE AND JESUS DEATH IS NOT YOUR CONCERN, YOU WILL GO TO HELL BECAUSE GOD SAID THAT THE REWARD OF SIN IS DEATH AND JESUS WAS SINLESS SO THAT HE HAS NO RIGHT TO PHYSICAL OR HELL FIRE DEATH.EVEN ENOCH(GENESIS 5) THAT WAS NOT DECLARE SINLESS BUT WALK WITH GOD AFTER SOME YEARS IN THE WORLD(SINS) WAS EVEN TRANSLATED INTO HEAVEN. HOW MUCH MORE WORTHIER OF BETTER GLORY IS JESUS CHRIST  WHO WAS SINLESS LUKE 1:35,JOHN 8:46.
IF YOU CONTINUE IN YOUR OWN WAY(ECKANKAR,IDOL WORSHIPPERETC) BUT YOU BELIEVE JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED YOU WILL STILL GO TO HELL BECAUSE JESUS SAID ANYONE THAT BELIEVES AND IS BAPTIZED SHALL BE SAVED MAK 16:15. IF YOU BELIEVE THEN GO AND MEET PASTOR TO BE BAPTIZED. BECAUSE YOU HAVE ALSO TOLD A LIE NUMBERS 23:19 AND THAT MAKES YOU A SINNER.
IF YOU ARE A  GOOD PRACTISING MUSLIM AND YOU PAY ZAKAT,YOU GO TO HAJJ,YOU DO YOUR FIVE TIMES PRAYER YOU WILL STILL GO TO HELL FOR BEING A MUSLIM BECAUSE YOUR ISLAMIC FOUNDATION IS FAULTY BEING A LIE THAT JESUS WAS NOT CRUCIFIED. YOU BETTER REPENT AND MEET PASTOR TO BE BAPTISED.
REVELATION 21:8 PART OF THE REASON FOR GOING TO HELL IS LYING AND BY DENYING THE CROSS(UNBELIEVING) IF YOU END UP IN HELL YOU WILL BE THERE BILLION,BILLION,BILLION YEARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS UNENDING BECAUSE OF LYING. AND IF YOU ARE PART OF THE PEOPLE TWISTING VARIOUS SCRIPTURES YOU WILL STILL GO TO HELL FOR MISLEADING PEOPLE. I HAVE FASTED AND GOD HAS CONFIRMED TO ME THAT JESUS DIED FOR US. HE ALSO CONFIRMED THAT GADAFFI IS IN HELL  AND MOHAMMAD AFTER 3 DAYS FASTINGS.
THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING BAPTISED
What is the significance of baptism?
Have you ever though about getting baptised but have too many questions still unanswered?
In this blog we would love to help you understand a little bit more about this significant, next step in your journey of following in the footsteps of Jesus.
Why should I consider getting baptised?
Following Christ:
In order to understand the reason for being water baptised, it is important to carefully consider what the Bible says about it… Jesus himself was baptised. He was not a sinner, yet he humbled himself in obedience to identify with us and give us an example to follow.
At this time, Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptised by John in the Jordan. The moment he came out of the water, he saw the sky split open and God’s Spirit, looking like a dove, come down on him. Along with the Spirit, a voice: “You are my Son, chosen and marked by my love, pride of my life.” Mark 1:9 MSG
An Act of Obedience:
Water baptism is an act of faith and obedience to the commands of Christ.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
A Public Declaration:
Baptism declares that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. It is a public confession of your faith in, and commitment to, Jesus Christ. It is the next step after salvation through repentance and faith and is an important foundation for the Christian life.
Then he said, “Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God’s good news to one and all. Whoever believes and is baptized is saved; whoever refuses to believe is damned.” Mark 16:16 MSG

What is the meaning and significance of baptism?
A Move From Death to Life:
Baptism is a symbol of Christ’s burial and resurrection. Our entrance into the water during baptism identifies us with Christ’s death on the cross, His burial in the tomb, and His resurrection from the dead.
“Going under the water was a burial of your old life; coming up out of it was a resurrection, God raising you from the dead as he did Christ. When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive—right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ’s cross.”Colossians 2:12-14 MSG
A Brand New Life:
It is a symbol of your new life as a Christian. We bury the ‘old life’ and we rise to walk in a ‘new life’. Baptism is like a wedding ring, it is the outward symbol of the commitment you made in your heart, a commitment that has to be followed through and lived out on a daily basis.
Here is one simple way to explain baptism:
Baptism is a symbol.  It’s meant to show the world that that you love, trust, and have put your hope in Christ.  It’s like a wedding ring…
Let’s say I’m not married right now, but if I put a wedding ring on my finger, would that make me married? No, of course not. Similarly, I can be baptized in a church, but that doesn’t make me a true believer in Christ. Imagine that I really was married, though. My husband and I really did go through the marriage ceremony, but I just didn’t have my ring on my finger. Would that mean I wasn’t married? No way, of course I would still be married. Similarly, I can be a believer in Christ, but not baptized, and my sins are still paid for and forgiven by God. But imagine that I truly was married and I really, really loved my husband. Would I wear my wedding ring? Of course! I would love my husband and want the whole world to know it! In the same way, if I have trusted Christ to save me from sin, and He is the lord and joy of my life, then I’ll want everyone to know about it. So baptism is a statement to everyone who sees it that I have trusted Christ for my salvation and I’m committed to living for Him.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Romans 6:4
Baptism does not make you a believer; it shows that you already are one! Baptism does not ‘save’ you; only your faith in Christ does that.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9

A Blessed Life:
In baptism, the believer has the triune name of the triune God placed upon them, ‘Father’, ‘Son’ & ‘Holy Spirit’. The name of the Lord Jesus Christ is the name of the Godhead (one God in three persons). The Gospels tell us to baptise believers “… into the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit”, Matthew 28:19.
Baptism confirms our position ‘in Christ’ and affirms the blessings of the Father on us as his children.
A New family:
Baptism also connects us to the ‘body of Christ’, his people in the earth. In baptism there is a real sense of being joined with other believers, not just participating in an individual act of our own spiritual journey.
“…For we were all baptised by one Spirit into one body…” 1 Corinthians 12:12-13

How are we to be baptised?
As per the example of Jesus – by being immersed in water. The word “baptise” comes from the Greek word “baptise” which means “to immerse or dip under water”.
As soon as Jesus was baptised, he went up out of the water.” Matthew 3:16.
Every baptism in the Bible was by immersion under water. The book of Acts shows us that this was the norm for every believer.
“…then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. When they came up out of the water….” Acts 8:38,39.

Who should be baptised?
Every person who has made the decision to believe in Christ. When Paul writes to the believers in Rome, he assumes that all of them have been baptized (Romans 6). The one requirement for baptism is belief in Christ!
“Those who accepted his message were baptised….” Acts 2:41.
“But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptised, both men and women.” Acts 8:12.
We believe in baptising children when they are old enough to understand what it means and make a personal declaration of belief. (Usually, the age of 12 years old is sometimes a good benchmark.)

When are we to be baptised?
Believers in the New Testament were baptised the same day. As soon as a person decides to believe in Christ, he can be, and is encouraged to be baptised.
“Those who accepted his message were baptised….” Acts 2:41.
“Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. As they travelled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water. Why shouldn’t I be baptized?” And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.” Acts 8:35-39.
