THE WRATH OF GOD.
Hello saints,
Yesterday as i prayed with my family,the Lord Jesus Christ told us that His wrath will be poured onto this earth VERY SOON!
But the question we all need to ask ourselves is are we going to be among those on whom God's wrath is poured?or are we going to be among those who escape eternal condemnation?
The choice is ours.
Jesus Christ is very willing to save us,He is willing to make us ready for His coming and for that day when we have to give an account of our lives before God the creator.
The bible says in
1 Peter 5:8
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"
King James Version (KJV)
This verse means we must allow ourselves to drift into a state of stupor,but rather be awake.
We must not allow ourselves to sleep,but rather watch and pray because our adversary the devil is looking for whom to devour.
He will devour only those who are not sober and vigilant.
We must not allow ourselves to be in a state of drunkenness.
Iam talking about spiritual drunkenness.
It is possible to not take alcohol and yet be drunk spiritually.
Spiritual drunkenness is that state when things that the Holy Spirit once convicted you of and you had quit doing them suddenly seem so harmless and you begin to wonder why you had thought they were sin.
It is because you are not in a sober state,you are now drunk,that is why they now seem normal.
When you saw those things as sin,you were vigilant and sober minded,but now you have drifted into a state of drunken stupor and sin begins to make sense to you.
But i must tell you,the moment you die,you WILL BECOME SOBER.
There is no dead person who is still in a state of spiritual drunkenness,everyone suddenly becomes sober once they leave this earth.
You will see sin as it really is and you will suddenly realise that sin is not normal,that the standards set by the world are not normal,that following Jesus Christ in complete holiness is what is normal,that dedicating your life to living for God no matter what everyone else around you is doing is what is normal.You will become sober but it will be too late.
Everyone in hell is sober,that is why they keep begging Jesus for forgiveness and saying they will live for Him if they just come back to earth.
Earth has a way of making us drunk if we are not walking close to Jesus.
If we are not consistently reading the bible and seeking God,slowly we will find ourselves in a drunken stupor where sin will make so much sense to us.
Human effort accomplishes nothing,it is Jesus Christ who can make us sober and vigilant.
We need to repent and cry for mercy before it is too late,before God's door of mercy closes.
it is not how we see ourselves that matters but rather how Jesus Christ sees us.
That is why we need to humble ourselves and seek God,ask HIm to fill us with His Holy Spirit and to help us live in obedience.
We need to have a close personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
He did not come to condemn the world but to save it.But a time is coming when He will come to judge the world.
It may seem like a story,it may seem like it will never happen but it will.
Jesus Christ will come back for His children and it will happen in the twinkling of an eye.
1 corinthians 15:51-53 "Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, “DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory."
But only the Holy will see Jesus,only they will be changed and raptured.
God has called us to come out of the world and live as pilgrims here on earth.
Living a Holy life is a must,and this is ONLY possible when we are truly born of the Holy Spirit.
If we are not born of the Holy Spirit,we will soon find ourselves back in the world.
We must be born again.We must die,that Jesus may live in our bodies.
We must take up our cross and follow Jesus.
Jesus Christ loves you and He died so that you could have eternal life.
He has prepared so much for you in heaven and is willing to help you get there one day.
Just believe in Him and obey Him.Let Him be Lord over you in everything,be yielded to His correction.Live for Jesus Christ.
Pray without ceasing,read the bible,and live the bible.
